Robert Barron

Robert Paul "Bob" Barron, age 56, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away Monday, September 12, 2022.  He was born on June 12, 1966 in Ottawa, Kansas the son of Pablo and Margarita Garcia Barron.  He graduated from Ottawa High School.  After high school, he attended Northwest Missouri State receiving a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and Economics.  While at Northwest, he was a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity and a member of the competitive speech team.  He then attended law school for one year at the University of Kansas.  He was married to Debbie (Swearingin) Bass from 1988 to 2001.  He was later united in marriage to Heidi (Holsman) Martinez from 2004 to 2011.  To this union, twin sons, Mason and Morgan Barron were born.  Bob was currently employed as a mental health technician at the Osawatomie State Hospital.  As a child and young man, Bob attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottawa.  Most recently, he attended the Fundamental Baptist Church in Prescott, Kansas.  He collected Batman memorabilia, was a New England Patriots Fan, and an avid collector of guns and knives.  He enjoyed camping and fishing.  Bob was a Boy Scout Leader and enjoyed spending time with his boys in Florida during the summer. He was an animal lover, partial to dogs.  He spent many years volunteering at Wayside Waifs and was involved in the Kansas Humane Society.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Terri Robbins.  “Tino” as he is known by most family members, is survived by two sons, Mason and Morgan Barron, a brother, David Barron, a sister, Esther Hollon, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  He will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral service will be 11 am Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.  Burial in the Pleasanton Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10 am to service time at the Chapel.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Barron Family, to be used for his sons, Morgan and Mason.  Online condolences can be left at wwwschneiderfunerals.com.
